Behind the LNLE name...

I'm currently in the process of a rebrand with the very talented Emily of Emily Rose Ink

Our first consultation she asked me about the meaning behind the Littles 'n Lace name. It wasn't the first time I got this question and I figured if it wasn't the first, it wouldn't be the last either.

After many years of retail and my "maternity leave" coming to an end I knew I needed to start building a career outside of being a mom to our new baby boy. Wedding Planning came back to me but I had no clue where to start or what to even do first. There is so much that goes into a wedding and I knew all of the planning aspect but I needed the behind the scenes experience.

In December of 2013 I knew my sister in law was going to be popped the question by her long time boyfriend in January it was approaching fast and I was doing everything possible to make a special engagement gift basket for her. I wanted her to feel at ease knowing she had all of the tools and my help on the planning of their wedding. Once she was engaged, I enrolled myself in the QC Wedding and Event Planning course to earn my certificate to become IEWP certified. I got my certificate in May 2014 and started building my business.

With the help of my school I built the name Littles 'n Lace Events. Littles 'n Lace Events was born with a play on word; with all of life’s celebrations. Birthdays, bridal showers and baby showers; they to me felt like they were the little piece to an even bigger picture. Those smaller events led to even grander celebrations; the birth of families, and the birth of growth. Not to mention my parents always called me their 'little little' growing up.

The Lace... Lace has always been something I've associated with weddings and I've always loved how rich and elegant the fabric felt. It's also a timeless fabric, which is something I've strived to make my business about, timeless events for my clients to cherish years after their wedding day.

I hope you enjoyed reading about the meaning of Littles 'n Lace Events.
